Junk removal and movers in Fairfield, CT

Fairfield needs a few different kinds of help. Beach houses turn over, college students move in and out around Fairfield University and Sacred Heart, and older homes in Stratfield and Tunxis Hill get cleared out for a sale. We are about 20 minutes away in Norwalk. We do the moving, the junk removal and the debris hauling, and we give you the price before the truck is loaded.

Homes and buildings in Fairfield

Fairfield has a mix. Down by the water around Fairfield Beach, a lot of houses are close together on small lots, so parking and carrying distance take some planning. Greenfield Hill has larger colonials on bigger properties, often with full attics and outbuildings. Stratfield and Tunxis Hill have plenty of capes, ranches and older colonials with tight stairways and basements that collect years of stuff. Southport has historic homes where we take extra care with doorways and old floors. There are also rentals near the two universities that change hands every year.

Junk removal in Fairfield

The Fairfield Transfer Station is at 530 Richard White Way, which used to be One Rod Highway. It is for Fairfield residents and businesses, for waste generated in Fairfield, and a town vehicle permit is required. A short temporary permit can be bought at the station. Every vehicle checks in at the scale house first, and loads that may be over 125 pounds can be weighed. Cash is not accepted. Fees apply to trash and some materials, so check the town's current fee sheet. If you would rather skip the loading and the trip, we take it.

Moving in and out of Fairfield

A lot of Fairfield moves are in town or short hops to Westport, Trumbull or Bridgeport. Moves tied to the universities run on tight dates, so book early if your lease ends at the same time as everyone else's. Moving trucks are not allowed on the Merritt Parkway, so we run I-95 or the Post Road instead. If you are moving into a condo or apartment complex, ask the manager whether they need a certificate of insurance and when the truck can use the lot.

Fairfield questions

Should I take my old couch to the transfer station myself or hire you?

If you have a permit, a vehicle that fits it and someone to help lift, the transfer station is an option. Fees can apply depending on the material and weight. If you do not want to load it, haul it and wait at the scale house, we carry it out and take it away. You get a free quote first, with the price set before we start.

Can you help with a move out of a beach rental near Fairfield Beach Road?

Yes. Houses by the beach are often close together with limited parking, so tell us where the truck can sit and how far the carry is. We move apartments and homes, and we can haul away anything you are not taking with you on the same trip.

Do you do student moves for Fairfield University or Sacred Heart?

We do local apartment and home moves, and that includes students moving between rentals or heading home. We can also assemble furniture at the new place. Move-out weeks fill up fast, so call early with your dates and addresses for a quote.
