Junk removal and movers in Norwalk, CT
Our shop is at 64 Wall Street, so Norwalk is the town we work in most. A job here can mean a two-family in South Norwalk in the morning and a ranch in West Norwalk after lunch. We move apartments, houses, and offices across town, clear out garages and basements, haul the renovation debris the city transfer station turns away, assemble furniture, and pick up shipping barrels for families sending goods overseas. You get the price before the truck is loaded.
Homes and buildings in Norwalk
Norwalk has a little of everything. South Norwalk and Central Norwalk have a lot of two- and three-family houses with narrow back stairs and driveways shared with the neighbors. The newer apartment buildings near Wall Street and West Avenue usually have elevators, but the office wants moves on the calendar. Rowayton and East Norwalk have older houses close to the water, often with steep stairs to the second floor. Up in Silvermine and Cranbury the lots get bigger, the driveways get longer, and the basements hold decades of storage.
Junk removal in Norwalk
The city runs the Norwalk Transfer Station at 61 Crescent Street. Residents need a Disposal Pass, which is free if you pay your vehicle tax in Norwalk. The station takes furniture and carpet, but not construction and demolition debris, sheetrock, shingles, countertops, or ceramic toilets and sinks. Curbside bulky collection only covers homes of four units or fewer that get city garbage and recycling, on set dates, with a limit of about one cubic yard. Since July 2025, larger apartment and condo buildings and homes on private roads no longer get city collection at all. That is where we come in.
Moving in and out of Norwalk
Most Norwalk moves are short. People go from an apartment in SoNo to a first house in Broad River or Spring Hill, or downsize from West Norwalk into a condo. Moves between Norwalk and the Bronx or Westchester are inside our service area too. On two-family houses, parking is usually the hard part, so tell us if the driveway is shared or if cars have to be moved off the street. For apartment buildings, ask the office what it needs from movers, such as a certificate of insurance or a reserved elevator time, and pass that along when you book.

Norwalk questions
My condo building lost city garbage pickup. Can you take my old furniture?
Yes. Buildings with more than four units no longer get city collection, so the curbside bulky program does not cover you. We carry the items out of your unit, down the stairs or the elevator, and haul them away. Tell us what you have and which floor you are on, and we will give you a price before we start.
Will the Crescent Street transfer station take debris from my bathroom remodel?
No. The city transfer station does not accept construction and demolition debris, sheetrock, toilets, sinks, or countertops. That surprises a lot of people who load up their own truck and drive over. Hauling debris and construction cleanup is one of our regular services, so we can take the old vanity, the tile, and the rest of the mess in one trip.
How much does junk removal cost in Norwalk?
It depends on how much there is and how long the crew needs to load it. One couch from a first-floor apartment is a different job than a full basement in Cranbury. Call (475) 259-9687 and tell us what you have. The quote is free, and you get the number upfront before any work starts.
